About the Venue
Southwest Colorado is a stunningly beautiful region and the "newest" craggy mountains in Colorado. The trip through South Park and the Northern San Luis Valley is beautiful. The potato fields will be up and hopefully in bloom as we travel through the Valley. South Fork is nestled up to the east side of the San Juan Mountains foothills, with full access to the mountains a few minutes away. It is also where the South and North Forks of the Rio Grande River meet to form the Rio Grande River. Creede is a charming old mining town about 45 minutes up the North Fork of the Rio Grande. Spectacular views as you make your way to Creede.

4:00 pm - Reception with Creede Rep Artistic Director, Emily Van Fleet; Communications and Marketing Director, Kate Berry (both amazing actors also) and members of the cast of Spelling Bee.
7:00 pm - 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee - A fun, audience engaging, musical musical about a middle school spelling bee and the challenges of being that age.
Friday, July 24
10:00 am - Narrated Stage Changeover - Creede Rep - observe the backstage and set workers modify the mainstage for a new play. Narrated by Emily Van Fleet.
11:30 am - Tour of the Creede Fire House - the only underground fire house in the country.
12:30 pm - Lunch at Kip's - Kip's is a well-known mainstay in Creede.
1:30 pm - Wander around Creede - Trip to Freeman's Ranch west of Creede and the Clear Creek Waterfalls
6:00 pm - Dinner at Rio Grande Golf Course in South Fork
Saturday, July 25
11:30 am - Lunch in Creede or Southfork
1:00 pm Moriarity - "The world’s greatest detective, Sherlock Holmes, and his loyal companion Dr. Watson face off against the brilliant and dangerous criminal mastermind Professor James Moriarty."*
3:00 pm - Leave South Fork or stay another night with light programming on the 26th. Your choice.
